About Me

My name is Michelle, and I'm an Indonesian photographer and content creator based in Bali. I studied hospitality management in Switzerland, which gave me an early excuse to move through Europe with a camera and a loose itinerary. These days, I spend my time motorbiking across Bali and diving.

I started taking photos in 2015, when I picked up my first mirrorless camera. What started as a travel diary has grown into a creative practice across writing, photography, and video. This blog is where I document the places I go, the adventures I experience, and personal essays.

If you're looking for unfiltered and real travel content with great visuals, stick around because you're in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

What camera gear do you use?

I primarily shoot with a Fujifilm X-T2 with kit lens, GoPro 12, iPhone 13 pro and OM TG7.

Where are you based, and do you travel full-time?

I am currently based in Bali, Indonesia, but I’m constantly moving whenever I get the chance to. It depends on how you define travel. If you include a one-day excursion to Tulamben (2.5-hour drive from Denpasar), a travel, then yes, I travel full-time.

Is it safe to travel solo as a female?

I will always encourage all women to travel solo. Unfortunately, the answer is, it depends on your destination. The only constant thing in life is change, and the world keeps on changing. A city might be safe in 2016, but it might be a different story in 2026 due to political, economic, and social issues. My advice is always to do your research, prepare, and have common sense while you’re traveling solo.

Are you open to collaboration?

Absolutely! Please reach out via my contact page with details about your project.
