I’ve heard good things about this restaurant, especially the coffee. If you’re looking for a coffee review, do not be surprised that I’m not gonna mention it at all in here, cause we didn’t order any coffee at all.
I got the feeling of the rustic and warm the moment I step into the restaurant, maybe because the furniture mostly from woods and stones they use. It seems that Blacklisted is a restaurant, cafe and a coffee shop, they sell coffee beans, coffee machine and etc.
The only appetiser we ordered were Grilled Caesar Salad which sadly I didn’t get a chance to try (only tried the sauce) before my cousin eats it all. Based on my cousin, it was delicious though.
Spaghetti Bolognese, for me this particular main course is very basic and simple. Since it’s so basic and simple and probably we’ve tried thousands of different kind of Spaghetti Bolognese before, it sets our standard high and Blacklisted Spaghetti Bolognese doesn’t disappoint me.
Sirloin Steak is another basic dish. I want to say the same thing about Blacklisted’s Sirloin Steak, but I didn’t feel there’s anything peculiar in it. It consists of Australian beef, mashed potato or french fries and a choice between brandy mushroom cream and black pepper sauce.
The Blacklisted trademark and recommended (by the waiter) dish is the Blacklisted Beef Burger. What’s interesting from this burger is the homemade charcoal bun as you can see in the picture. It doesn’t really taste different with a regular bun, so I can say that we’re eating with our eyes (eye candy burger). The first thought after having my first bite is that it’s just a regular burger with a black bun that makes people curious.
My very favourite and personally recommended from me is Norwegian Salmon with Lemon Beurre Blanc. There will never ever be no mistake with Norwegian Salmon. The main ingredient is pan seared and serves with vegetables and mashed potato. I can’t get enough of the crispy skin yet soft and moist flesh of the salmon and the lemon butter sauce just work so well together. Oh, how I love lemon with salmon.
Generally, I would love to come back to eat in Blacklisted again and try the delicious-looking desserts that are on display in the counter and the coffee that everyone talks about. The price range starts from Rp. 30’000 to Rp. 150’000 and it is very casual kind of restaurant.
