I Moved to the Mountain

Mountain Life, Personal

I Moved to the Mountain

michellefranclee June 23, 2021

Hi guys! It’s been a long time since I write this blog. I keep saying that “Imma write more on my blog” but then I never do it lol. I keep pressuring myself to write more here but never happened. I guess my passion for blogging is not here anymore 😅. We’ll see what’s gonna happen to this blog in the future. I think I have this website for 6 years already.

Anyway, I have exciting news. I am now living in the mountain! I am actually from Jakarta, but since I can work remotely since last year, and thankfully my workplace is quite flexible and allow me to move anywhere as long as there’s internet access. And my parents have a property in Puncak, West Java and I’ve decided to move there last April 2021 with my dog. You can check more about this property here, it’s called Villa Semtala (I just renamed it).

My purpose of moving here is because I always love the mountain and nature. I want to try living my life like Stardew Valley (a game about farming) and I want to try to grow my own food, and experiencing other new things like gardening, hiking, managing accommodation, cooking, pottery, art stuff, and YouTube! As you can see below, I created a video and I think I will be more active on my Youtube channel. Why? Because I actually have a goal to have my own travel show and the most doable thing to make that happen is by making it my own via Youtube I guess. Although right now we’re still in lockdown and cannot travel overseas or within the country (I mean I probably can but I prefer not to, stay at home guys!) I have a goal to travel intensely in 2-3 years (maybe in 2023 or 2024) and I’m thinking to take a gap year from my work. And just travel and document it on Youtube. That would be an absolute dream! But before that happen, let’s try out best to make the world a better place and so we all can travel again soon. Don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel, it will mean the world to me 🥺.
