Nothing beats a cafe with a view. A beautiful, breath-taking one. It happens to be that Cafe Bazar is on the river bank. I can see the other side of the city from Cafe Bazar. It was a delightful meal with the sun was kissing my skin.

Most of the cafes in Salzburg (or even in Austria) are quite similar. They have this same breakfast-type of menu with mainly egg dishes. I wouldn’t expect anything like a very heavy meal from cafes in here. Whenever I try out a new place, I always eat their signature dish first to get the feeling of the place. Bazar Toast & Salad (€ 8.20) is a sandwich with a small portion of salad. Inside the sandwich is a tomato, salami, ham and crispy toast. They serve it with delicious cocktail sauce. The cocktail sauce is for the salad, but I dip my sandwich into the cocktail sauce, and it works for me. Bazar Toast & Salad is light meal or even a snack for someone who has a big appetite.

On the other hand, my friend ate Bazar Würsteleierspeise (€ 6.-) which is an omelette with wurst sausages. I tried a bit of my friend’s dish but I still prefer the one in Cafe Tomaselli. It is breakfast or brunch appropriate who loves egg and sausage.

I didn’t try the dessert or any other because I was in a hurry to catch a bus of The Sound of Music Tour. I would love to have another meal in Cafe Bazar, especially the coffee. I would suggest you to sit on the terrace if it’s beautiful weather that day, but be careful with the bees that occasionally fly around.
